Product basics
What sizes of PIPEMARK tape are available?
PIPEMARK ID tapes are available in 150 mm and 275 mm widths. Where applicable, 450 mm identification can be supplied as a set of three 150 mm tapes. Standard roll length is 33 m.
What materials are used in PIPEMARK tapes?
PIPEMARK tapes use self-adhesive plastic materials with a clear permanent self-adhesive and proprietary UV+ inks designed for strong light-fastness and durability.
What temperature range can indoor tapes withstand?
PIPEMARK indoor tapes are specified for an in-service temperature range of approximately -20°C to +80°C and are designed to resist water, oils and chemicals. Always check the current specification for your application.
Standards & identification
Are PIPEMARK tapes designed around BS 1710 pipe identification?
PIPEMARK indoor identification tapes use the BS 1710:2014 pipe identification framework and BS 4800 colours. For more detail, read our BS 1710 pipe marking guide.
What contents and colour coding options are available?
The PIPEMARK range includes a wide selection of service descriptions and colour combinations. If you cannot find the identification you need in stock, see our Made To Order range.
Application
How should I apply PIPEMARK tape?
Apply tape to a clean, dry and smooth surface. Remove the release liner fully before installation. Directional tapes can be orientated to show the required flow direction. See the PIPEMARK Product Application guide.
Can PIPEMARK tape be used on every surface?
Surface condition matters. Painted pipe, bare metal, insulation cladding and other finishes can behave differently, so check that the surface is clean and suitable for a self-adhesive identification product.
Outdoor & custom products
Do you supply outdoor pipe marking products?
Yes. PIPEMARK Outdoor is available for external and exposed applications. Use a product designed for UV, moisture and weather exposure rather than an indoor-only tape. Browse Outdoor tapes.
Can I get custom printed labels or bespoke text?
Yes. PIPEMARK offers bespoke printing for specialist requirements, including custom text, colours, directional arrows and other project-specific identification. Visit our Made To Order page.
What is the difference between indoor and outdoor PIPEMARK tape?
Indoor products are intended for protected internal environments. Outdoor products are designed for exposed conditions where UV, moisture and weathering are greater factors. Read our Indoor vs Outdoor guide.
